• OEM Remote Keyless Entry Activation: You activate this system using your existing keyless entry remotes, so the distance you will be able to activate the remote starter from will be the same distance that you can lock and unlock your vehicle from now.
   
• Remote Start Activation Sequence Option: You have the choice of activating this system in only 1 of 2 ways: either by pressing LOCK 3 times (with horn beep) on your factory remote OR by pressing the LOCK-UNLOCK-LOCK sequence (without horn beep). Choice provided during checkout. Settings cannot be changed after installation. 
   
• 15-Minute Remote Start Run Time (standard): The system will automatically shut down after 15 minutes. You can also cancel the remote starter from running sooner the same way you activated it.
   
• Active Key Takeover: The engine will not shut down when the driver's door is opened.
   
• Automatic HEAT/AC Activation: Just leave your climate control settings on where you want them when parking the vehicle, and the system will automatically turn them on after you activate the remote starter.
   
• Brake Pedal Monitoring for Security: If the vehicle's brake pedal is stepped on before the ignition is turned on with a key, the remote starter will immediately shut down.
   
• Open-Hood Monitoring for Safety: The remote starter cannot be activated when the hood is open, and it would shut down if the hood was opened when the vehicle was running by the remote starter (the vehicle must be equipped with a factory-installed hood-pin switch for this feature to work).
   
• Active Remote Shut-Down: You can cancel the remote starter sooner the same way you activated it.
   
• Alarm Upgrade: For Ford Transit Connects without OEM alarm systems: A vehicle security, all entrance alarm protection is available as an add-on option with this system (option offered during checkout):
  
  How to confirm if your Ford Transit Connect is equipped with an OEM alarm or not: Just because your factory remote has a "panic button" on it does not necessarily mean it is equipped with a factory alarm system. Sit inside the vehicle and close the door, then lock it with your factory keyless entry remote. Now wait about 2 minutes, then unlock the door manually (or by the switch) from inside the vehicle and open the door. If equipped, the vehicle's horn will start beeping immediately; if not, you won't hear anything.
  
  With this option chosen, one T-Tap connection (included) to one wire in the vehicle will be required when choosing the horn beep alarm option. One wire ran out to under the hood will be required if the siren option is chosen (and mounting of the siren.) Any and all needed connectors, self-tapping mounting screws for mounting the siren, or lengths of wiring will all be included.
