► TECHNICAL BULLETIN: Your Ford Transit must have BCM upgrade compatibility for any aftermarket or OEM add-on remote start system to work. This can be confirmed by contacting a Ford dealer's service department and using your VIN number to see if the dealer can install the Ford remote start (part # KN1Z-19A361-A) on your specific Transit. If they say they can, then you can also install this equivalent system. If you can already remote start the vehicle via the FordPass smartphone app, then your vehicle's BCM is upgrade compatible.

• No Horn Beep Option: After installation, navigate to the settings menu on your SYNC screen, then select vehicle > locks. Look for 'Lock Confirmation' or 'Horn Feedback' and toggle it to 'OFF'. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for full option-setting details. Some trim levels may require FORScan access to disable the feature.

• Brake Pedal Monitoring: If the vehicle's brake pedal is stepped on before the ignition is turned on, the remote starter will immediately shut down.
   
• OEM Hood-Pin Monitoring: The remote start will not activate when the vehicle's hood is open, shut down upon opening, and also prevent activation when it is detected as defective or the vehicle is not equipped with an OEM open hood pin switch.
   
• Engine Performance Monitoring: The system will detect any current or stored DTCs, which will prevent the remote start from activating.
   
• Low Fuel Detection: The remote start will not activate when the low fuel light is on.
