2019 to 2023 Ford Ranger with Key Ignitions Remote Start Installation:

Step 1: Unplug the gateway connector from the rear of the vehicle's OBD2 module located on the lower left side of the driver's side dash and plug it into the corresponding female plug on the T-harness:
Step 2: Replace the vehicle's gateway plug with the plug from the T-harness:
Step 3: Plug the blue plug from the T-harness into the blue plug on the remote starter module:
Step 4: Turn the ignition ON (do not start the vehicle): When the Solid Green LED turns ON & OFF, turn the ignition OFF: DONE!
 

2019 to 2023 Ford Ranger Remote Starter Features:

• Activate this system by pressing your Ford's Smart Key's lock button 3 times. The distance at which you will be able to activate the remote starter will be the same distance at which you can remotely lock and unlock your vehicle's doors now.
  
  If you think you would want longer range than what your factory remotes provide now, during, or after installation, you can always upgrade this system with any of the Viper™ D-series long-range remote packages. Just stick the antenna to the windshield, plug the antenna into the module, and then program the remotes to your system, and you're done. Get anywhere from 1200' to 1 mile of range depending on the model of remotes you choose. 
   
• 15-Minute Remote Start Run Time: The engine will shut down automatically after 15 minutes.
   
• Active Remotes Shut-Down: You can cancel the remote starter sooner the same way you activated it.
   
• Brake Pedal Monitoring for Security: If the vehicle's brake pedal is stepped on before the ignition is turned on, the remote starter will immediately shut down.
   
• Open Hood Monitoring for Safety: The remote starter will not activate if the vehicle's hood is open, and the remote starter will immediately shut down if the hood is opened while the vehicle is running by the remote starter. The vehicle must be equipped with an OEM hood-pin switch or an aftermarket version for this feature to apply.

• Brake Pedal Monitoring for Security: The remote starter will immediately shut down if the brake pedal is stepped on before the ignition is turned on.

• Equipped with the same OEM safety and operating restrictions as a Ford factory-installed remote starter: The system will detect any current or stored fault codes, which will prevent the remote starter from activating. If the hood is open, the transmission is not in park, the vehicle's battery voltage is too low, the low fuel light is on, the check engine light is on, or any stored DTC codes (no visual lights on the dash) will prevent the system from activating (you can also consult your vehicle's owners/operators manual).
   
• Entrance security and safety: In addition, on most Ford vehicles, depending on how the OEM ECM was configured, it will only allow key takeover to be performed within an allotted amount of time after entering the vehicle. This time span can range from 45 seconds to 4 minutes before the engine will shut down if the key takeover procedure has not been performed (i.e., enter and turn your vehicle's ignition on).
   
• Fail-Safe Design: In the unlikely event of a component failure, the system cannot prevent you from starting your vehicle normally with a key.
