SYSTEM DETAILS:

• 100% In-Vehicle Programming: NO computer, internet access, system updates, or dealer programming needed.
  Just 1 KEY-FOB (Smart-Key) to your Ford Edge is all that's required to program this system to your vehicle. Go straight from delivery to installation.
   
• 100% Plug-In T-Harness Installation: No wire cutting or splicing. Just 1 plug located at the vehicle's gateway module mounted to the lower right of the steering column (see photo below) is all that's required to install this system into a 2015 & 2016 Ford Edge with Push-to-Start Ignitions.
   
• Works Using Your OEM RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) Remotes: Pressing LOCK 3 times (w/Horn beep ON) on your OEM remote will activate the remote starter, OR, upon request, we can program it for you to activate by pressing the LOCK/UNLOCK/LOCK sequence (w/o Horn beep OFF). Option choice provided during checkout. Settings cannot be changed after installation (unless you send the control module back to us).
   
• Remote Start Range: Activation range will be the same as the distance that you can currently lock & unlock your vehicle's doors from your factory remote.
   
• Horn Honk OFF During Activation Choice: By default, you activate the remote starter by pressing your remote's lock button 3 times, which will cause the vehicle's horn to beep, but if you like, during checkout, you will be asked if you would like this feature turned off so it won't beep the horn when you activate the remote starter. This will change the activation sequence to LOCK/UNLOCK/LOCK (changes cannot be made after installation).
   
• Vehicle-Specific Factory Fit T-Harness: No wires or extra plugs to sort through that are left over and not used, meant for other Ford vehicles. This provides an easier-to-understand installation and a cleaner, more professional-looking install when finished. The plugs on the provided T-harness have just the connections you use for your specific vehicle, nothing else.
   
• Vehicle-Specific Step-by-Step Installation Guide: A clear & concise illustrated step-by-step installation guide that will walk you through every step of the installation. Written by professional installers for the DIY installer.
   
• Installation Information: Just 1 plug in the vehicle is removed and plugged into the system's T-Harness. The connector in the vehicle is located on the vehicle's gateway control module mounted below and to the right of the steering column. Then the 1 identical plug from the T-Harness is plugged back into where the vehicle's gateway connector was removed. The vehicle's steering column covers are removed for easier access (or you can go under the dash from the back), and the lower knee-bolster panel is also removed for routing and securing the system's wiring harness and control module (nylon zip ties are supplied for securing the system). That's it. The rest is just the system activation and programming procedure. The complete installation should take less than 45 minutes. SYSTEM FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

• 6 Choices of Remote Start Run Times Option: 15-Minute Remote Start Run Time (default): The system will automatically shut down after 15 minutes, OR you can shut it down sooner the same way you activated it. Settings cannot be changed after installation. Choices provided during checkout.
   
• 2 Choices of Remote Start Activation Option: You can activate this system only 1 of 2 ways: either by pressing LOCK 3 times (w/Horn beep) on your OEM remote (default setting) or by pressing the LOCK/UNLOCK/LOCK sequence (w/o Horn beep). Settings cannot be changed after installation. Choices provided during checkout.
   
• Automatic HEAT/AC Activation: Just leave your climate control settings where you want them when parking the vehicle, and the system will automatically turn them on within 10 seconds after you activate the remote starter.
   
• Active Key-Takeover: The engine will not shut down when the driver's door is opened, so you won't have to restart the vehicle again with your key every time after you remote start it. Once you enter the vehicle, you turn the ignition ON, and when you step on the brake to shift the vehicle into gear, the remote starter automatically turns OFF, but the vehicle remains running and goes back to normal operation.
   
• Brake Pedal Monitoring for Safety & Security: If you step on the brake pedal when the vehicle is running by the remote starter BEFORE the ignition is turned on with a key, the remote starter will immediately shut down, and you will have to restart the vehicle with the key.
   
• Open-Hood Monitoring for Safety & Security: The remote starter cannot be activated when the hood is open, and it would shut down if the hood was opened when the vehicle was running by the remote starter (the vehicle must be equipped with a factory-installed hood-pin switch for this feature to work). 
   
• Engine Monitoring: The remote starter cannot be activated when the vehicle's "Check-Engine" light or the "Low Fuel" light is on.

• 1-Year QC Warranty: In the rare event that the system would fail under normal everyday use, MCA will directly repair or replace any part of the system within 1 year from the date of delivery. Technical support assistance & RMA# required:
• "Red-Carpet" Warranty Coverage: Even though it's highly unlikely you would ever need warranty service for one of our systems, once one of our techs determines that you need a replacement, we will send out the replacement you need within 48 hours with a pre-paid return package for the part we are replacing, at no expense to you; all shipping costs are covered under your warranty!

• 45-Day Returns: The system can be returned within 45 days from the date of delivery for no reason, provided the system is in the exact same delivery condition as received, including everything, manuals, and internal & external packaging (shipped back in the same box as received). Due to the sensitivity of all automotive aftermarket electronics, any signs of an attempt at installation (scratches to the module, labels removed or damaged, dirt or grim smudges, etc.) will void the return option; only technical support and warranty coverage will be provided. Return shipping is the consumer's responsibility. Shipping reimbursements are not provided. No restocking fees will be charged.
